There’s gold – there’s copper – there’s silver – and now there is plenty of evidence that the Abitibi-Greenstone Belt (AGB) is on the verge of becoming a treasure chest for electric vehicle minerals.

Virtex – a division of Canadian Trade-Ex, eastern Canada’s most prolific trade show producer, is hosting a major, one-of-a-kind, two-day virtual conference that will connect the AGB mining industry’s biggest players under one virtual roof.

“Mining The Abitibi Greenstone Belt – Meeting the Needs of Today’s Mining Industry” has been more than a year in the making and will be delivered on a proprietary, state-of-the-art digital tradeshow platform built by Canadian Trade-Ex, the leader in trade show production for more than three decades.

The event will be held June 2nd and 3rd and booth registration is limited. It includes a Partnering With Procurement event, as well as a Career-Education-Training Fair that coincides with Ontario Mining Week.

Virtex President Glenn Dredhart says participants have the opportunity to extract significant value from their participation. “We are offering participants a unique opportunity to engage in face-to face networking time with senior mine buyers from throughout the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. Mines and large-scale capital mine projects can set up a virtual display and reach a group of industry stakeholders and harness the supply chain.”

The Virtex platform allows trade show participants to set up one-one meetings, group meetings and the ability to pre-select appointments from a qualified list of supply companies.

The Career, Education and Training Fair is co-hosted by the Far Northeast Training Board. The fair will connect employers with potential employees virtually.

• Meet potential job seekers specific to the mining industry.

• Offering a focused approach to match skilled job seekers with employment opportunities.

• Access employment agency representatives and information available on hiring and training assistance and incentives.

Virtual displays will allow Human Resource (HR) the opportunity to meet, review and discuss career opportunities available with a group of potential job seekers.

At the Mining the Abitibi Greenstone Belt Conference and Expo, the exhibition floor provides attendees the perfect opportunity to experience the new mining operations concepts and designs. Speak to a group of Procurement Staff and witness how these operations require innovations that can be applied to enhance their operations various processes.

Partnering with Procurement offers participants (companies) a unique opportunity to set up their own 2D display and share it with the participating procurement staff as well as engage in face-to-face virtual introduction time with senior mine buyers from throughout the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

“It is expected that in excess of 25 buyers, and 200 supplier companies, will attend the event, and we would be delighted if you could join us for what promises to be an unrivaled opportunity to grow your business,” said Dredhart.

Registration is limited.
