Zeinab has a passion for geology, adventure and finding new and interesting ways to promote mineral exploration activity in Ontario.
Historically, the Abitibi belt has been known for its gold exploration potential, but as recent years have shown, there is the potential for much more to be found. Ontario has recently published its critical mineral list that includes a combination of thirty-one elements and minerals. This presentation will introduce four of the listed elements: cobalt, lithium, graphite, and nickel and their usage as the raw material used in electric vehicle batteries, prices, and future demand. The presentation’s focus will be on the potential for these raw materials in Timmins and Kirkland Lake Districts.
